Kathleen Martin, 88, of Clinton, died Dec. 3. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that enjoyed her family and life on Norris Lake. She was an educator in the states of West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of LaFollette and the Eastern Star in Charleston, WV.

She was preceded in death by her husband Denver Martin; brother, Kern Messinger; sisters, Inez Smith, Lura Lee Lawson, Marie Spurlock, Oneta Jane Pack, Iris Jean Adkins and Sue Lawson.
She is survived by her daughter Denise Pennington and husband James, of Clinton; sister, Marlene Farley and husband, Nick, of New Mexico; grandchildren, James C. Pennington and wife, Robin, and Andrea M. Dubois and husband, David; great-grandchildren, Cole, Luke, and Gage Pennington and Cade Dubois.
A gathering of family and friends for a celebration of her life is today at 6 p.m. Interment is tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
