James 'Jim' Hubert Miller, 73, of LaFollette, died Feb. 11 at LaFollette Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 19, 1939, in LaFollette. Miller was a member of Island Home Baptist Church in Norris, Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778 and local IBEW. He was a caring son, father, and grandfather. Miller and his father operated the Union 76 Station on College Hill for years and he was an electrician by trade, where he retired from Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge. In his younger years he enjoyed building racecars and had a love for antique cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Hubert 'Speedy' and Lillie Okie Irwin Miller and brother-in-law Garland Parrott.
He is survived by his son James 'Jimmy' Irwin Miller; daughters Elizabeth 'Becky' Milller and Vicky Lynn Miller, all of LaFollette; grandchildren Benjamin Neil Miller, of LaFollette, James Zachary Miller, of Lawrenceville, Ga., Corey and Katelyn Jean Miller, of Clinton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Imogene Parker and husband, Arnold, of San Antonio, Texas, Shirley Peel and husband, Cecil, and Carolyn Parrott all, of LaFollette; aunt Willie Louise Madron, of LaFollette; special friends who were like brothers to him, Jim Coward, of Powell and Dennis McCullah, of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to his church family at Island Home Baptist Church.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Calvin Braden officiating. Interment is tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
