Theodore Diamond "Ted" Verna

The Guest Book is expired.

Theodore 'Ted' Diamond Verna, 70, died Jan. 26 at his home in San Jacinto, Calif. He was born on July 9, 1942, in Spokane, Wash.
Ted and his family moved to California as a young child, where he enjoyed playing with his younger brother, Gary in the nearby orange groves and learning to swim on the many beaches. Being separated only by geography in adulthood, Ted remained a close and loving brother.
In Ted's early adult years, after his stint in the armed services, he found he enjoyed art. He became a talented, self-taught, artist, creating beautiful paintings and sculptures. In the later decades of his life, he found a greater love, that being in his Christian faith. He became a minister and founder of the Latter Reign Ministries in California, for which he unselfishly gave his time, labor, love and devotion to his church ministry and his congregation.
Ted's love of God was resonant in all he did. He opened his church, home and heart to all that were seeking spiritual nourishment and guidance. In his Christian ministry, he knew no strangers and housed and fed the wayward and homeless sharing with them all his worldly goods.
Ted's presence and absence on this earth will be felt by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Diamond Charles and Berniece Wanda Verna.
He is survived by his most beloved brother, Gary.
Graveside services and interment were Feb. 18 at Marlow Cemetery in White Oak with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating.
Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
