Myrtle Violet Evans, 90, of LaFollette, died April 29 at LaFollette Health and Rehab Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Evans; daughter, Irene Davis; grandson, Jerry Wayne Davis.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jim and Shelby Perficul of LaFollette; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and William Mowery of LaFollette and Margie and Dale Shelar of Overland Park, KS.; sisters, Hazel Smith of Corbin, Ky. And Martha and Bill Hatmaker of Maynardville; brother, Virgil and Linda Gibson of Dayton; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to give special thanks to her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and William Mowery and their families for the many wonderful years of care and comfort they gave Myrtle while she lived in their home.
The family also wishes to thank LaFollette Hospital and Nursing home, Dr. Elie Mansour and Don Branam for care during her final days.
The family will receive friends beginning at noon on Saturday at Cross-Smith Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2 with the Rev. George Asbury officiating. Interment is at Woodlawn Cemetery.
