Luther Elwood Lynch, 85, of Dayton, Ohio, died June 8 in Stonespring of Vandalia. He was born in Speedwell on Sept. 23.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in WWII. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing. He retired in 1992 from Harris Graphics after 38 years, where he never missed a day of work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Lucy Moyers Lynch; five brothers and a sister, Lonnie, Gene, Chester, Ruby, Roy and Claude.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joy Lee Norman Lynch; two sons Jeff Lynch and wife, Tabitha, and Rodney Lynch and wife, Karen; four grandchildren Alexandria, Emma, Andy, and Danielle; a sister Opal Lovely; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stonespring for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. on June 13 at Blessing Funeral Home in Tipp City, Ohio, with Pastor Lonnie Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
