Betty Eileen Halcomb, 62, of Jacksboro, died July 29.

She was a member of Stanfield Church of God.
She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to read and listen to her music. She was a dedicated teacher with a love and concern for each one of her students.
She was preceded in death by her parents Adrian Jerome and Georgia Landrum Spitzer; husband Larry Halcomb; and sister April Halcomb.
She is survived by her daughters Stephanie Halcomb and Shanna Angel, both of Jacksboro, Robert Angel of Jacksboro; sisters Rhonda Church and husband, Jim, of Michigan and Nancy James of LaFollette; grandchildren Jared Kellogg, Alyssa Angel, and Robbie Angel.
Visitation is today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Stanfield Church of God with the Rev. Delmus Bruce and the Rev. Jerome McCullah officiating. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery.
