LaGRANGE — Mrs. Eugenia Landers, 92, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Landers was born December 6, 1920, in Paris, France, daughter of the late Emile and Virginia Thommes. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and was the co-owner and founder of Landers Jewelers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Landers and daughters, Margaret Landers Ruggiano and Lynn Landers, and an infant son, James Landers, Jr.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Anthony DiGirolamo and his wife, Teresa DiGirolamo, of Woodstock, GA, and Gina Bartlett and her husband, Jay Bartlett, of LaGrange, GA; great grandchildren, Will Bartlett, Wesley Bartlett, Brooklyn DiGirolamo, and Avery DiGirolamo; and a special family friend, Barbara Thrower.
The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 22, 2013, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Patrick Scully officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 200 LaFayette Parkway, LaGrange, GA 30241 in memory of Mrs. Eugenia Landers.
