Allen Cleveland Perdue

Mr. Allen Cleveland Perdue, 90, of LaGrange died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Perdue was born February 24, 1924 in Woodbury, GA, son of the late Willie Franklin Perdue and Vastie Prophett Perdue. He was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square and was retired as a service manager and later from Callaway Gardens as golf course foreman. Mr. Perdue was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during War World II.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Lovine L. Perdue; children, Jimmy (Connie) Perdue, Carolyn (Jimmy) Brown, Diane (Chris) Taylor, and Mike (Susan) Perdue; grandchildren, Jeff (Jennifer) Brown, Jay (Jena) Perdue, and Kerby Perdue; and great grandchild, Andrew Will Brown.

The funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 27, 2014 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Dr. Paul Baxter and Rev. Paul Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to First Baptist Church on the Square, LaGrange, GA in memory of Mr. Allen Cleveland Perdue.
