Patricia Moses Obituary

Patricia Moses, daughter of Dorothy and J. Garner Anthony, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2013, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her family in Maine, a place she has loved for many years. Pat was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Wellesley College in '48.
After college, Pat worked in a lab in Boston, then married John R. Moses and moved with her family to Kansas City. She moved to La Jolla in the early '70s where she lived very happily for the next 40 years. Pat, one of the first Agouron Pharmaceuticals staff, headed Human Resources there until she retired in 1998. She then split her time between California and Maine.
Pat leaves behind three daughters, Anne, Lucy and Abigail; one brother, Garner; two sons-in-law; four granddaughters; a grandson-in-law; and nieces, cousins and their families.
Out of respect for Pat's wishes, there will be no services. There will be a private celebration of her life in the summer.
The family requests that, should friends so desire, donations may be made in Pat's memory to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 27 Atlantic Highway, Edgecomb, Maine 04556.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, Damariscotta, Maine. Condolences, and messages for the family, may be expressed by visiting: www.StrongHancock.com.

I worked for Pat while employed at Agouron. She was a terrific boss. She was a special person, very friendly, witty. She had a great sense of humor and extremely intelligent. I have often wondered how she was doing but I am saddened that she has passed on. She will be greatly missed by all. May you Rest in Peace Pat.

With highest regards,
