I remember when I first met Bob. He had moved to Owatonna and became a member of our Sunday school class. As I recall that was in the late '50s. We hit it off right away, an easy person to know, laid back, well liked. He fit right in. I was not a close friend but always looked up to him as a true friend. If he was with another group of students and you met him he would always speak. He had no allegiance to any one group or person. In my opinion he was a friend to all. That is the kind of young man Bob was. We went our separate ways after graduating high school in '63. I lost track of him. I'll miss my friend.
