Anderson, James D. 87, of La Valle and Kenosha, WI passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at his Kenosha residence. Born on June 13, 1925 in Zion, IL; he wasthe son of the late David Kirk and Alma (Lund) Anderson. He moved from Zion to California where he resided from 1950 until 1993. He then resided in both La Valle and Kenosha where he owned homes in both towns. Heserved in the United States Coast Guard during World War II as a Third Class Petty Officer until he was honorably discharged. For many years he worked as a Sales Representative for Sloan Valve, Co until his retirement. A member of Zion Community Church, Immanuel Presbyterian Church in CA, the Mason's, the Cattle Men, the Dairyland Organ Society and St. Andrews Society in CA. James loved to read, listen to classical music, and attend organ concerts with his friends. Heenjoyedtalking about politics, current events andreligion. If you didn't bring something to the table he would get bored. James is survived by two nephews, Scott (Frieda) Anderson and David (Connie) Anderson both of Bristol; two nieces, LaurieKrenske of Racine and BettyKreul of Moose Lake, MN;two great nieces, Mia (Matt) Anderson Kurudza and Elle Anderson; three great nephews, Adam (Trisha) Anderson, David (Lisa) Anderson and Marcus Anderson; his sister in law, Laurie Anderson; and his lifelong dearest friend, Barbara Cameron.He was a good friend, mentor and father to; Jose (Nancy) Vigiland their son,Ethan Vigil of Kenosha;Wilfredo (Alejandra) Vigil and theirsons, Wilfredo and Sebastian of Oak Creek, WI; and Erick Vigil and his family of Richland Center, WI; He is further survived by other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Anderson, his sister, Ruth Usty and his niece, Patricia Ruud. A graveside memorial service withFull Military Honorswill be held on James' birthday, Thursday, June 13th at Mt.
