Carlos Pagan

Vietnam war veteran Carlos Pagan age 71 passed away on June 30th 2014 while quietly singing praises to God at the VA hospital in Lake City Florida.
Carlos served three tours in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart and Silver Star medal while serving in combat. He received these metals for gallantry in action on January 10, 1968 while serving as chief of section of the fifth howitzer section for A battery, 1st Battalion 8th Artillery at Xom Rang, Republic of Vietnam. Carlos was a devoted husband and father that loved serving God. Carlos loved spending time with family, playing guitar, singing, and fishing. Carlos served in every area of his church Arca De Refugio of Live Oak  Florida mainly as a worship leader vocalist. Carlos obtained his Ministers License in 1999 prior to serving as a worship singer in his current church. Carlos will truly be missed by his family, friends and all that he deeply touched. Carlos was born in Ciales Puerto Rico on April 1, 1943 and settled in White Springs, Florida.
He is survived by his wife Anaun Pagan, his two children Antonieta Maria Ayala and Jose Cortez along with two beautiful grand daughters and 15 loving siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am on Saturday, June 5, 2014 at Arca De Refugio  Church, 118 Duval Street, Live Oak, Fl., 32064, with Pastor Josefat Isidro officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fl,. Visitation will the family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00am-11:00am) at the church.
