Mr. Charlie P. Cowen

Mr. Charlie P. Cowen of Minor Hill, TN passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, TN. He was born on October 5, 1921 in Huntsville, AL and was 91 years old. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy and a retired education instructor. Funeral Service was on Saturday, September 28th at the Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Entombment followed in the Giles Memory Gardens with full Military Honors. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Annie Eloise Johns Cowen. His parents, Charlie H. Cowen and Florence C. Schrimscher Cowen. His sisters Annie R. Cowen, Florence Cleveland, Lorene C. Bolden and one brother, Raymond H. Cowen. He is survived by his daughter Suzanne Long of Minor Hill, TN, son, Daniel M. Cowen of Minor Hill, TN, son, David Cowen and wife Carla of Lake City, FL, granddaughter, Ashley Fountain and husband Mitchell of GA, grandson, Ryan Brown and wife Heather of GA, grandson, Charles Cowen II of Minor Hill, TN, grandson, Charles D. Cowen of FL and great-grandson, Bailee Fountain, great-grandson, Robert E. Brown, sister-in-law, Louise Brown (Randall) of Mineral Bluff, GA Brother-in-law, Fred C. Johns (Jacquelyn) of New River, FL and sister-in-law, Pat Johns of New River, FL. Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Charlie P. Cowen.
