Ernie Creel

Ernie Creel age 68 resident of Lake City was killed in a motorcycle accident June 12, 2013. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Ernest and Kathryn Creel on February 23, 1945.  He attended public school and relocated to Florida at age 16. He served in the U.S. Army for 4 years in Germany as a teletype operator during the Vietnam era.  He was a Lake Worth Police officer and undercover officer for 8 yr's.  He then became a private investigator for several years in Florida and then in Missouri as a private investigator for the Public Defenders office.  He owned and operated Keepsake productions for 15 yr's. producing videos and commercials.  He also owned and operated Capital Mail, a postal store, for 5 yr's before his retirement.  In 2000 he retired and moved back to Florida to be near his son and his granddaughter.  He has been married 3 times - and to his present wife of 20 yr's, Cathey Creel, in 1992.  He has a brother Dennis Creel of Lake City and his son David and his 5 children live in Orange City, FL.
A visitation service will be held on June 18, 2013 from 10 am to 11 am followed by a memorial service from 11 am to 12 noon at Parkview Baptist Church, Lake City, Fl.  The Rev. Mike Tatem and the Rev. James Roberts will jointly conduct the memorial service.  
ICS Cremation and Funeral home will cremate his remains as he requested.  He donated his harvestable organs and per his request veteran's will be given first priority for their use.
