Helen Irene (Little) McClellan

Ms. Helen Irene Little McClellan, 79, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday May 18, 2014 at Shands at the University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville after an extended illness. She was born in Lake City on February 13, 1935 to the late Arthur Thomas Little and Audrey Colson Little. She live most of her life in the Lake City and Live Oak area; having lived in Live Oak the past 21 years. She was a payroll clerk for Hopkins Motor Company for over 30 years. She was of the Baptist Faith and loved to read her Bible; she attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband: George E. McClellan and her grandson: Timothy McClellan, Jr.
She is survived by her sons: Timothy McClellan, Sr. and Greg McClellan both Live Oak; and her sister: Jeanette Varner of Lake City. Special friends: Gwen O'steen and Betty Neal. Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Ms. McClellan will be conducted on Friday May 23, 2014 at 11 A.M. in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Rev. Lowell O'Steen officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 10-11 A.M. in the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home to assist with the final arrangements.
