Ricky Lee Moore

Mr. Ricky Lee Moore, 57, a longtime resident of Lake City, died unexpectedly Monday, January 25, 2013. A native of West Virginia, Mr. Moore was the son of the late Franklin and Pauline Sikes Moore. Mr. Moore has been an employee of OXY Chemical/P.C.S. Phosphate for the past thirty-five years. He currently served as the Chemical Plant Set-Up Supervisor in White Springs. Mr. Moore enjoyed spending time with his family and in his "younger days" enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Joan Marie Hagan Moore; his son, McCally Moore of Lake City; step-children, Joseph Abbott (Jolie Minchin Abbott) and Karen Carter (Sean Carter) both of Lake City; his brothers, Frank Moore of Lake City and Kuwait; Richard Moore and Kent Moore both of West Virginia and sisters, Frances Moore Wolz of Lake City and Ruth Moore McAlpine of Longwood, Florida. Eight grandchildren, Amber Abbott, Savannah Abbott, Joseph Abbott, Jacob Abbott, Elizabeth Clark, Chase Campbell, Autumn Carter and Hannah Carter also survive.
Memorial services for Mr. Moore will be conducted at 12:00 NOON on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in the Chapel of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Ogburn officiating. Private family interment services will follow. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 Wednesday evening at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service.
