Mr. Roy Pascal Douberley Jr.

Mr. Roy Pascal Douberley, Jr., 88, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 26, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Orlando, FL on December 20, 1925 to the late Roy Pascal Douberley, Sr. and Lena Leila Nettles Douberley. He was a Butcher by trade; working for many years in the Orlando area and owning his own Grocery Store before moving to Lake City in 1972. He worked for Scaff's Market for many years as a butcher and retired in 1992. He loved to fish and bird hunt; he also loved to garden and raise cows, which he continued to do after retirement. He also was an avid Florida Gator Fan. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; he was also a navy veteran. He is preceded in death by his son: James Walter Douberley and sister: Doreatha Malloy.
  He is survived by his loving wife of 63 1/2 years: Martha Bradford Douberley of Lake City; son: Dwight Roy Douberley (Yvonne) of Lake City and daughter: Cynthia "Cindy" Murrill (Jesse) of Lake City. Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive along with many extended family and friends.
  Funeral services for Mr. Douberley will be conducted on Tuesday July 29, 2014 at 11 A.M. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Price Creek Ward (Old Country Club Road) with Bishop Jeff Thomas presiding. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 A.M. (one hour prior to the services) at the church. Arrangements
