Thomas Franklin "Frank" Blackwell

Mr. Thomas "Frank" Franklin Blackwell, Jr., age 84, of Live Oak, Fla. died Tuesday, June 16, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, Fla. following an extended illness. He was a native of St. Joseph, Missouri and resided in Lake City for 41 years before moving to Live Oak, Fla. six years ago. He was owner of McDuff Appliance Store and Blackwell Home and Auto Store in Lake City for twenty years until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Kiwansis Club of Lake City and a member of the Live Oak Church of God, Live Oak, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Franklin Blackwell, Sr. and Sylvia DeBord Blackwell and his daughter, Janice Garrett. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Blackwell of Live Oak, Fla.: Two daughters, Charlotte (Donald) Boyd of Jacksonville, Fla. and Lougene (Glenn) Jernigan of Live Oak, Fla.: One son, Thomas (Rebecca) Franklin Blackwell, III of Greenville, S.C.: Three sisters, Mildred Case, Dorothy Ledford and Naomi Trimble all of Cleveland, Tenn.: Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, June 19, in the Live Oak Church of God with Rev. Fred Watson, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Rev. David Jones.
Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery, Live Oak, Fla. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Friday (one hour before service) at the Live Oak Church of God. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of God World Missions, P.O. Box 8016, Cleveland, Tenn. 37320-8016
