Vera Mae Clemons Bridges

Vera Mae Clemons Bridges, 82 a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away September 9, 2009 at her home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Bridges was a native of Miami, Florida and was born on March 9, 1927.  She is the daughter of the late Laurice and Eva Mae Nettles Clemons.  Mrs. Bridges was a member of the Christ Central Ministries, Lake City, Fl.  Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Bobby Bridges and Eddie Bridges.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years, James E. Bridges, Sr.  One daughter:  Patricia (Levon) Fountain, Lake City, Fl.  Four Sons:  James (Penny) Bridges, Jr., Dunnellon, Fl.  Larry (Judy) Bridges, Sr. David (Cheryl) Bridges both of Lake City, Fl. and Garry (Laurie) Bridges, Vero Beach, Florida.  Eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bridges will be conducted Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the Christ Central Ministries Church, Lake City, Fl. with the Rev. Lonnie Johns and Rev. Marjorie Patterson  officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday, September 11, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 SW Main Blvd, Lake City is in charge of arrangements.
