Mrs. Wanda C. Green

Mrs. Wanda C. Green, 83, of Lake City, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Shands Lake Shore Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Melvin and Weeta [Robinson] Carver and had lived in Columbia County for most of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother who loved camping, swimming, fishing, and devoting her time to her family. She had a passion for flowers and had owned Green's House of Flowers in Live Oak for over 20 years.
Survivors include her sons, Alvin (Robin) Green, Wylan Green, and Greg Green; daughters, Linda (Bo) Waldron, Debra McCoy, and Jackie (Bud) Espenship; brother, Warren (Carolyn) Carver; best friend and sister, Esther (Dewitt) Staats; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; her close companion and love of her life dog, Chico.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 on Saturday; March 8, 2014 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Live Oak, Florida. Visitation with the family will be held Friday evening March 7, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
