Joseph Robert Basilisco, 77, went home to the Father July 4, 2013.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. Also by his loving wife Wanda.
Joseph served in the Air Force for over 22 years. He received the Armed Forces expeditionary Medal, The Purple Heart, and the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism in Vietnam. He Retired in 1976.
Joe owned Joe's Painting and Home Repair for many years in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
He is survived by his children, Joanne Basilisco (Dane Jaeger), Marco Basilisco, Chris & Brian Tesoriero. Grandchildren Gina Basilisco, Ann Marie Bergmann, Chrissy Bergmann and Nick Bergmann. Great grandchild Matteo. His sister Flora Hatfield. A host of nieces and nephews. Many special people were his "adoptive" children, Jane Vogt and her children, Lonnie Walker and his family. The Nelson children and their families of Fort Walton Beach and Colorado.
A Celebration of his life will be held at Mason City Community Center on Friday, July 26,2013 from 1pm - 4pm.
The dress will be as casual as we all remember that is how Joe always was. He never met a stranger and always made you smile or laugh.
