Mr. Moses Cooper, 85, passed on April 26, 2014.  He was born in Leon County on August 2, 1928 to Elec Cooper and Ella Mae Pride McCoy. Both precede him in death.  A native of Miccosukee, Florida, Moses was educated in the Leon County School System.  He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and joined Concord A.M.E. Church.  The family relocated to Lake City, Florida and on October 19, 1950, Moses enlisted in the United State Army and was honorably discharged.  After his Military stint, he was employed with Aero Corporation in Lake City, working until his health declined.  Moses exhorted the Lord with words, songs and deeds.  He was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church where he sang with the choir, taught Sunday school and transported the youth and other church members.  He was ordained as a Deacon and served until his health failed.  Others preceding him in death: daughter, Sylvia Kelly; and brother, Johnny C. Frison.
Cherishing an unforgettable legacy: daughters, Ann Rossin (Arvilla), Lake City, FL, Christine Pope, Jacksonville, FL; sons, Robert Cooper and Earl Cooper, both of Lake City, FL; grandchildren; great grandchildren; god sister, Crisella J. Barber; special niece, Crisie B. Jones; hosts of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Moses Cooper will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Birley Road, Wyndell B. Wallace, Pastor.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2014, at the funeral home.
