Gary Lee McKnight, 62, a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at his home.

Mr. McKnight has resided in Lake City for the past eleven years. He is the son of the late William Don and Violet Pierce McKnight. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and he was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Pomeroy, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his brother Leon McKnight. He was a member of the North Florida Coon Hunters Association and loved to cook, fishing and the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife Debbie McKnight, Lake City, Fl. Four daughters: Melissa McKnight, Deerfield Beach, Fl. , Christina Guiffaro, Palm Beach, Fl., Mona Hayslip, Savannah, Ga. And Izzie Antonsanti, Lake City, Fl. Two Sisters: Carolyn Dailey, Middleport, Ohio and Viola Shoemaker, Belleview, Fl. Three Brothers: Donald McKnight, Pomeroy, Ohio, Henry McKnight, Columbus, Ohio and Carlos McKnight, Lake City, Fl. Fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survives.
Funeral services for Mr. McKnight will be conducted Friday, May 3, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Cagney Tanner, officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, May 3, 2013 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. just prior to the service.
