Mrs. Helen Milner Osborne, 100, of Lake City died Tuesday afternoon Oct. 15, 2013, in Baxley, Georgia at Appling Health Care Nursing Home. Mrs. Osborne was born April 7, 1913 in Zebulon, GA to the late John Holmes Milner and Bessie Cannafax Milner. Mrs. Osborne moved to Lake City from Sanford, FL in 1989. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Homer Lee Osborne. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Lake City. Mrs. Osborne is survived by one son: William Milner Osborne (Jan), Lake City, FL; one daughter: Jane Osborne Morris, Baxley, GA; five grandchildren: Terri Millikin (Mike), Steve Osborne (Debbie) and Sam Osborne, all of Lake City, Pam DeWitt (Randy), Jacksonville, FL and Michael Morris (Dessa), Monroe, GA. Nine great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren as well as one sister, Mrs. Ruth Housch, Oneonta, AL also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Osborne will be conducted on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Mike Tatem, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Pete Sharber, Albany, GA, officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 – 11:00 A.M.) at the funeral home.
