Apostle Henry A. Wilson transitioned from earthly life to his heavenly home on July 7, 2018. He was born to the late Lonnie and Idella Wilson on June 1, 1930 in Lake City, FL.
Affectionately known as Bishop Wilson, Henry attended school in Columbia County and was a graduate of Richardson High School in Lake City, FL. After graduating, Henry entered the U.S. Army and served as a Military Policeman in Germany; where he learned to speak the German language fluently. Shortly thereafter, he attended Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, FL for four years.
Later, he was hired as a supervisor at Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company in Jacksonville, Florida where he became the first initial operator of the Micro-film processing department. On his off time from work, Henry traveled extensively with a band, The Marvel's as a drummer where he was nicknamed "Nat". During his career as a musician, he was the first to bring to Lake City, Florida the later entertainment R&B legend James Brown. Not long after his career as a musician, the Lord called Henry into the Ministry. He continued that Ministry for forty-seven years. Henry was the founder of Faith Temple which later became Faith Temple Harvest of Life Ministries Inc. where he was dedicated to saving the lost at any cost. Under this ministry, thousands of lives were touched resulting in over 20+ ministries being established. Throughout his ministry God worked miracles through Apostle Wilson to the extent of people being delivered from chronic drug abuse to being healed from aids, cancer, and other various diseases. During his illness he continued to win souls and preach the Gospel at Faith Temple Harvest of Life Ministries where he served faithfully until his demise. His final admonition to the members at Faith Temple and the body of Christ were to "remember the Sabbath Day and Keep it Holy".
Henry leaves to cherish his memories: A loving wife of thirty-nine and a half years, Verlene Byrd Wilson.
