Piper Laurie Wehrle, 58, passed away on August 6, 2013, with her family by her side. Piper was born November 8, 1954 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Leon and Ollie McElhaney.

Piper graduated from Columbia High and went on to Lake City Community College where she received a certificate of Secretarial Science.
Piper, an Administrative Assistant in the construction business prior to her passing, also served as President of the National Association of Women in Construction in the Pensacola area.
Her interest included going to the beach, listening to country music, decorating for holidays, but most of all communicating with her grand kids via Skype and phone calls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Ollie McElhaney.
Piper is survived by her husband of 36 years, Frank, sons Frank Jr (Tanya) of Franklin, West Virginia and Patrick of Pensacola, step-son Michael of Milford, Minnesota, brothers, Richard (Barbarah) of Charleston, West Virginia, Frank (Kitty) Lake City, Florida, sister, Linda (Mickey) Hazellief of Brooksville, Florida, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Quinn, Allan and Lori, other family members and friends.
A memorial service was held at the chapel of Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida.
