U.S.A.F. MSGT. RET. Preston Paul Paschall, 62, of Lake City passed away August 6, 2018 at his residence. A native of Lake City, Mr. Paschall was the son of the late Cal Manning Paschall and Shirley Waldron Paschall Henderson and was a member of the 1974 graduating class of Columbia High School. Following graduation Mr. Paschall joined the United States Air Force and served for twenty-three years specializing in the transportation of heavy equipment. Following his retirement Mr. Paschall returned to make his home here in Columbia County. He enjoyed coin collecting, collecting antique carnival glass and was known for push mowing his yard with perfect precision. Mr. Paschall was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Price Creek Ward.
Mr. Paschall is survived by his children, Ryan Vance Paschall of Valdosta, GA and Patrick Paul Paschall of Lake Park, GA; brothers, Claude Paschall, of Cedar City, UT, Irvin Paschall and Donnie Paschall of Lake City, FL. Three grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Paschall will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 23, 2018 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (located on Old Country Club Road) with Bro. Dennis Register conducting, assisted by Bro. Nelson Bedenbaugh. Interment with full military honors will follow in Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 Wednesday evening in the Chapel of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home.
