Mr. Robert Allen "Lil' Al" Bowmer, age 35, died late Friday evening December 7, 2012 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native of Tampa, Florida, Mr. Bowmer had been a resident of Lake City for the past thirty years having moved here from Tampa. Mr. Bowmer was a member of the 1995 graduating class of Columbia High School. He was employed as a welder with the Covanta Energy Corporation. Mr. Bowmer was an avid outdoorsman whose favorite hobbies were fishing and "four-wheeling". He loved to watch Florida State football and was a member of the "Misery Creek" Member's Only club. Mr. Bowmer was a Christian.

Mr. Bowmer is survived by his parents, Robert and Mary Bowmer of Wellborn; his wife, Jennifer Hamill Bowmer; step sons, John, Kenneth and Kevin Mash and step-daughter, Cyndi Mash all of McAlpin; his brother, Matt Bowmer (Joanna) of Lake City and his sister, Annette Bowmer Poe of Tampa, Florida; nieces, Shelby and Hailey Bowmer of Lake City and nephews, Justin Tew and Triston Bowmer of Tampa; his best friend, Hoyle Crowder Jr. (Heather) and his extended family, the entire family of Hoyle Crowder Sr. (Connie).
Funeral services for Mr. Bowmer will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in the Chapel of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Falling Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 Tuesday evening in the chapel of the funeral home.
