Sara Hope Holliday Effrain passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Fairfax, Virginia after a lengthy illness. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on November 30, 1946 to the late Arthur Nelson Holliday and Sara Hope Haynes Holliday. She was a graduate of Bradford High School and Florida State University and taught at schools in Florida and Georgia. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her daughter: Kathryn Hope Rivera of Muskegon, MI; grandson, Phoenix Rivera of Alhambra, CA; brother, Arthur (Jane) Holliday of Lake City, FL; nieces, Suzanne Leamon of D'Iberville, MS, and Sabrina Green of Lake City, FL; aunt, Mildred Haynes of Starke, FL; and cousins, Anne Haynes of Starke, FL, Marcia Welch of Savannah, GA, Kathleen Severo of Sterling, VA, Maggi Jones of Toronto, Canada, and Joe Scanlan of San Jose, California.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Crosby Lake Cemetery with Reverend Mike Moore officiating. Local arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME of Starke. On-line condolences may be left at www.jonesgallagherfh.com.
