Mr. Thomas Patrick "Pat" Daniels, 59, a lifelong resident of Lake City died suddenly Saturday, November 17, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late T.A. and Elizabeth Payne Daniels. Mr. Daniels was educated in the Columbia County School System and was a member of the 1971 Columbia High School graduating class. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University graduating in 1975. He owned and operated the Daniels Lumber Company for many years and currently owned and operated Daniels Timber and Real Estate. Mr. Daniels enjoyed being outdoors especially fishing and boating and was passionate about football. Mr. Daniels coached the Fort White Middle School and Fort White High School Indians for more than twenty years. He was a "Golden Chief" with the Florida State Seminole Boosters, a member of the Lake City Seminole Boosters, past board member of the National Seminole Boosters and former member of the I.D.A.. Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Elton Payne "Boakie" Daniels and his grandmother, Eula McCullers of Live Oak.
He is survived by his children, Kris Daniels (Sariah) of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Brandi Daniels O'Neal (Greg) of Lake City and his six grandchildren Aiden, Gavin and Shelbi Daniels and Kailie, Cassidy and John Luke O'Neal.
Funeral services for Mr. Daniels will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in the chapel of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home with Mr. James Montgomery officiating. Private family entombment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 Tuesday evening in the chapel of the
funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Advent Christian Center, 10680 Dowling Park Drive, Dowling Park, FL 32064. .  Arrangements are under the direction of the DEES-PARRISH FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 458 S.
