Mrs. Vivian Harrison Lockley, 93, of Lake City, FL died peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2014 at home surrounded by her children and loved ones. She was the wife of the late Roosevelt Lockley who proceeded her in death. She was a member of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church since 1950. Where she served faithfully for many years until the decline in her health. There she was a member of the "Red Rose" club.

She received her education in the Columbia County School system of Lake City, FL. Some of her hobbies included teaching quilting, cosmetology, baking, gardening, freezing and canning fruits and vegetables, watching the soap operas. She could also not be found without a crossword puzzle book.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her nine children: Gustavious Lockley (deceased), Frank Steward (Anne), Lake City, FL; Frankie Johnson, Montgomery AL; Essie Smith, Daytona Beach, Fl; Beverly James (Roosevelt), lake City, FL; Ronald Billie Lockley, Lake City, FL; Joetta Harrington (Kenneth), Lake City, FL; Yvette Mickens, Lake City, FL; Bruce Lockley (Barbara), Lake City, FL. Sisters: Ruby Williams, Montgomery, AL; Rose Bruce (Jack), Atlanta, GA; Edna Copeland and Pauline Harrison, both of Lake City, FL; Beulah Wiggins, Orlando, FL; Willie Dee Saulsby (Oliver), Augusta, GA. Brothers: Thomas Harrison (Betty), St. Augustine, FL; Alfred Harrison (Rosetta) and Vernis Harrison (Mary) both of Brandon, FL; Julius Martin, Lake City, FL. "Mama" will be sadly missed by her 26 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services for Mrs. Lockley will be conducted Saturday, January, 25, 2014, 11:00 am at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Frank Steward will deliver the Eulogy with words of comfort by Pastor Ronald Walters. Interment will take place at Memorial Cemetery.
