Mr. Bernard R. Demps, Lake City resident answered the Lord's call to come home February 7, 2014 with wife Marnita and sons Merrell and Alex by his side. Bernard was born March 7, 1952 in Columbia County to Robert and Ruby Demps. Both precede him in death. He was a 1971 graduate of Richardson High School. Bernard and Marnita Bradley were united in Holy Matrimony April 2, 1992. He enjoyed fishing and visiting Senior citizens. He loved children and helping people.
Left to cherish memories: loving and devoted wife of 23 years, Marnita Demps; children, Tomeca, Merrell, Ales, Tasha and Keisha Demps; sister, Althea Demps; aunt, Annie Mae Rowe; devoted grandchildren, Tyshawn Postell, Tayvahn Jordan, Alexandria Demps; hosts of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Bernard Demps will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Mt. Pisgah AME Church, 245 NE Washington Street, Lake City, Florida, Elder Larry Fulton, Officiating.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Revelation of God and Christ Church, 296 Lomond Avenue, Lake City, FL.
