Ms. Doris Stanford Howard, 78, resident of Lake City, Florida, passed away May 30, 2014. She was born July 5, 1935 to Charlie and Willie Mae Stanford. Both precede her in death. Doris was educated in the Columbia County School System. She was employed with the V.A. Medical Center, Lake City and retired in 1995 after many years of dedicated service. Doris accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of New St. James Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Pallbearer's Lodge #32. She enjoyed her grandchildren and crossword puzzles. Daughter, Jacquelyn Wright Rollins also precedes her in death.

Funeral services for Ms. Doris Stanford Howard will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at New St. James Missionary Baptist Church. 365 NW Martin Glenn. Rev. Anthony White, Pastor.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at the funeral home.
