Mrs. Edith Coy Mack was born on July 21, 1911 in Cotton Plant, Florida. She was the third child born to Tillman and Ruthie Carter Coy. She was the last survivor of eight siblings. She attended the Marion County Public School System. Mrs. Mack was very astute, quick, and brilliant with numbers. She became a domestic worker for Holiday Inn where she worked until she retired; to include being a Domestic engineer for the Kirk Family. Mrs. Mack professed her faith and accepted Christ and her Lord and Savior. She was an active member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church of Ocala, Fl. There she served in various capacities to include Trustee Board, Senior Choir, and Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Mack completed this walk of life on June 12, 2014.

Her grandchildren; Nathaniel Wilkerson, Diana Wilkerson, Jackie Mack, Patti Mack, Lisa Colbert-Cummings, Robert Colbert, Steven Colbert, Carol Colbert, Tiffany Colbert, Sandra Mack-Gillespie, Gerald Mack, Pamela Rush-WIlliams, LaKisha Rush, Linda Hardy, Andrew Mack, Ruth Walker, and Lawanda Carey.
Celebrating the Life and Legacy and Spirit of Edith Coy Mack will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 1:00pm at Zion Methodist Church, 501 N.W. MLK Ave. A wake service will be held from 5pm until 7pm, Friday, June 20, 2014 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 1155, S.W. 123rd Terrace.
