Mr. Jimmie Stevenson Franey, 80, of Lake City, FL went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 25, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born on March 10, 1934 in Henderson, KY. He worked as a Union Painter in Paducah, KY beginning in 1964 and then moved to Florida in 1971. He was employed by Walt Disney World, Gene Nelson Inc. and MCPA out of Texas.

Preceding him in death was his daughter Mary Evelyn and parents Benjamin and Evelyn Franey. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Louise of 54 years; Daughter Vicky (Smoky) Stone of Henderson KY; Sons Steve (Cyrise) Franey of Tallahassee FL, Randy (Terry) Franey of St. Cloud FL, and Tommy (Penny) Franey of Lake City FL; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; Mother-in-law Mary C. Thomas; His brothers, Donnie and David Franey; sisters Charlotte Hailman and Linda Smith and numerous other relatives.
Jimmie "Pop" Franey truly loved his family and friends and he will forever remain in our hearts. Services will be held at Haven Hospice, Lake City FL at 11:00 am on Aug. 2, 2014. The family has designated Haven Hospice at 6037 W. Hwy. 90, Lake City FL 32055 or havenhospice.org for Memorial contributions. Arrangements entrusted to ICS Cremation & Funeral Home.
