Mrs. Idella Allen Kelsey, 98, of Lake City, passed away on June 29, 2013, at the Avalon Health Center. She was the seventh of nine children born to Mr. Claude and Mrs. Alma Allen. She was a faithful and ardent member of Truevine Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully until she was no longer able to attend. She was also a member of the "Senior Citizens Life Enrichment Center."

A daughter, Emma and two sons, Elvin and Willie James, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted daughter and care giver, Mattie, Bessie and DeLeatha (her granddaughters that she helped raise as her own daughters), one son Claude (Vireatha), a loving sister, Grace E. Curry, God-daughter, Lla Joyce Jackson, daughter in laws; Rosa Lee Kelsey and Johnnie Mae Kelsey Gamma. 7 granddaughters, 12 grandsons, and a host of great-grands, great-great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive and will cherish her memories.
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Truevine Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Truevine Baptist Church, Pastor Antonio Carlisle will officiate.
