Robert Wallace Stuart

BALDWIN -- Robert Wallace Stuart, 69, of Baldwin, passed away at his home Sept. 1, 2018.

Bob was born March 28, 1949, in Hastings, to James and Ruth (Wallace) Stuart.

Bob was very patriotic and loved his country. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 1968, and was proud of the time he served in Vietnam.

He met, fell in love and spent his life with Barbara Jean Stuart. She preceded him in death in 2007.

He loved watching NASCAR and playing games, such as cribbage, poker and especially Yahtzee. Bob was the self-proclaimed Yahtzee King of Baldwin.

Bob is survived by his children, Kari (Joe) Turnes, Brian (Joyce) Stuart, Michael (Deborah) Stuart, Bob Jr. (Connie) DeGraaf, Kim (John) Schaub and John (Amy) DeGraaf; many grandchildren; and special friend, Jean Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his brother, Don.

A funeral is planned for Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Verdun Funeral Home of Baldwin. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with the funeral at noon. A graveside service with military honors will be at the Webber Township Cemetery following the funeral. A luncheon will be at 2 p.m. at AMVETS Post No. 1988.
