Glenn 'Gregg' Jackson

CHASE -- Glenn "Gregg" Jackson, 69, of Chase, passed away at his winter home in Fort Myers, Fla. on April 11, 2018. Gregg was born and raised in Baldwin to Glenn and Janet (Updegraff) Jackson.

He graduated from Baldwin High School, attended Michigan Tech., served in the U.S. National Guard and spent a career working for the Lake County Road Commission, where he retired as superintendent. Gregg married Coral L. Hanson, April 17, 1976.

An avid sportsman, Gregg spent as much time as he could hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family outdoors.

His calendar was aligned to the opening days of hunting and fishing in Michigan, and when he retired, he expanded this passion to Florida.

He was often working on a project around the house whether in Michigan or Southwest Florida, and when he wasn't doing that or perusing farmer's markets with Coral, he was spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Gregg is survived by his wife, Coral; his children, Eric (Melissa) Jackson, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Erin (Tim) Blashill, of Canadian Lakes; four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kaelin, Finn and Jackson; and siblings, Lon (Toni) Jackson, of Baldwin, Brenda (Jim) Kutchinski, of Baldwin, and Amy Jackson, of Chase. And special mention of his uncle, hunting companion and dear friend, Tom Updegraff.

And never to be excluded, his Brittany Spaniel and loyal companion, Cooper.

There will be a private family gathering to celebrate Gregg's life.
