LaFleur, Dale L.

Dale Lee LaFleur, age 66, of 4431 S. 10th St. Manitowoc, died Saturday night, Dec. 22, 2012 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Dale was born May 21, 1946 in Manitowoc, to the late Alexander C. LaFleur and Betty (Garrigan) LaFleur Smith. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and served with the U. S. Navy from August 10, 1965 to May 19, 1967. During his military duty, Dale served with the U.S. Navy's Honor Guard at the services for President John F. Kennedy. Dale worked as a chef and bartender for many years, and most recently was a partner of Ameticulous, LLC. Dale loved to make people happy; he enjoyed the little kids; he loved to cook, garden, and go crabbing.

He is survived by his siblings: David and JoAnn LaFleur, St. Nazianz, Susette and Terry Mehlhorn, Two Rivers, Linda and Al Peterik, Whitelaw, Debra and Scott Greuel, Oshkosh, Frank Smith, Eagle River, Donald and Claudia Smith, Manitowoc; and one sister-in-law, Tammy Smith, Neilsville. He is further survived by special friends, Terry Owens & his son, Trevor Dale, of Two Rivers, and Kelly (Keith) Free, Manitowoc; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander LaFleur, Donald and Betty Smith; and a brother, Edward Smith.

A memorial service was held on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 - 18th St. Two Rivers. Rev. Kay Richter officiated at the service.

Dale's family would like to extend a special thank you to Aurora VNA Hospice; and the staff of Aurora Medical Center and clinic, and the V.A. Clinics in both Cleveland and Milwaukee for the compassionate care and kindness offered to Dale.
