1930 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
A Celebration of Life for longtime Kit Carson resident, Raymond D. Borns, affectionately known as Ray to his family and friends, will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., April 26, 2014 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Kit Carson, Colo. with Pastor Martin Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in the Kit Carson Cemetery. Visitation for Ray will be held on Fri., April 25, 2014 at the Peacock Family Chapel from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Sat., April 26, 2014 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Kit Carson, Colo.
Ray was born on July 13, 1930 in Codington County, S.D. to Arthur Emil and Anna Louise (Noeldner) Borns and passed away on April 22, 2014 at his home in Kit Carson at the age of 83 with his family by his side.
He is preceded in death by his parents, six siblings; Harry, Pearl, Virgil, Clifford, Eugene and Wilmer as well as his grandson; Wesley Chase Borns.
Ray is survived by his wife; Jane of the family home in Kit Carson, children; Shirley (Mike) Morlan of Kit Carson, Beverly (Perry) Middleton of Lamar and Gary (Tricia) Borns of Hugo, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his three siblings; Ruby Hanson, Delores Beutow and Jeannette (John) Moes all of Watertown, S.D. as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Kit Carson and/ or the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
