Bert pursued several careers over the span of her full life including; serving as manager of the "Caravan" restaurant and lounge in Pueblo and owning her own business which she fondly named the "Hang Out" in Holly. Bert received certifications in cosmetology and nursing while in Holly.
In 1978, she moved to Wheatland Wyo. and married Charles "Chuck" Carrington where they raised their seven school aged children. In 2008, Bert moved to Lafayette to be closer to her family in Colo. There, she continued to enjoy her love of life, family, her Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, politics, and crossword puzzles. Through her example, Roberta instilled the virtues of love, honesty, hard work, and selfless sacrifice. Her laugh was know to all who met her.
