Armand T. Brousseau, a long time resident of Los Alamos, passed away of natural causes on Nov. 23, 2012.
Armand was born on Jan. 7, 1925 in Central Falls, R.I. He was the first-born son of Theodore and Eugenie Brousseau, and brother to Raymond, Therese, and Robert Brousseau.
He was a World War II
Navy veteran who served with distinction in the Pacific Theater on the Island of Guam. Armand was honorably discharged in 1946. After his military service he came to work for the Los Alamos National Labs in 1947 and was employed there until his retirement in 1984. Armand met and married Bette E. Peters in Los Alamos, and together they raised six children.
Armand was preceded in death by his son Michael, his parents, and his wife. He is survived by his remaining children: daughter Therese Ridle of Brenham, Texas; daughter Deborah and son-in-law Scott Fry of Oro Valley, Ariz.; daughter Bernadette and son-in-law Marc White of Las Cruces; son Patrick and daughter-in-law Katherine of Los Alamos; daughter Jeannette and son-in-law Lance Roselle of Schertz, Texas; along with twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed, but we hold our memories of him deep in our hearts.
