Carolyn was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where she first learned to laugh and dance. She moved to the United States in her early twenties and lived in New York, California, New Mexico and finally Oregon before her courageous six year battle with a degenerative disease ended.
Never did the disease diminish her enthusiasm to live each day to its fullest. Her easy smile and positive outlook did not waiver. She remained the same warm, caring, funny and loving woman, traits that drew many friends to her for her entire life, until the last of her days. Everyone whose life Carolyn touched fell in love with her.
Carolyn loved to twirl on a dance floor and sing on any stage. When she found that Los Alamos did not have a group to her liking, she formed Radiance! and filled it with others who enjoyed her brand of fun. Every room she entered was made brighter. Her energy filled all the space around her and that space glowed.
She was surrounded by her sister Deanne, son Eric and his wife Amy, and several friends as she passed. Her husband Forrest was holding her hand as her spirit rose. Her other son Shane grieved on the far side of the continent. Also left behind are six grandchildren.
