Delores Ann Morrow of Rio Rancho died Aug. 15, 2012. She was 71.
Delores was born to the late Curtis and Margaret Bond on Aug. 1, 1941 in Bluefield, W. Va. She graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1959 and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. She married Don Morrow in 1962 in Los Alamos where they lived together before relocating to Rio Rancho in 1994. They celebrated their fiftieth anniversary this past spring.
Delores worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory for many years. In the mid-80's, Delores became a Mary Kay consultant. As a member of the Rio Rancho Women's Club, she helped spearhead a project of making "Chemo Caps" for cancer patients. Don and Delores were active members of a local RV club, breakfast club and dinner club in Rio Rancho.
Delores is survived by her husband Don and two children: Kenyon of Greeley, Colo. and Steven of Fort Collins, Colo; and her brother Curtis Bond Jr. of Inverness, Fla. She also is survived by three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2012 in the Vista Verde Memorial Park Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, N.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in the name of Delores A. Morrow to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research:
