Ernest G. Brock of Moraga, California, formerly of Los Alamos, died on September 8th of complications from Parkinson's Disease. He was 86. A physicist, he was a staff member in the International Technology group at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, retiring in 1990. He and Alice, his wife of 62 years, moved to California in 2006 to be near their children and grandchildren.

He is remembered for his puns and fun loving personality. He served in the Navy in World War II. In Los Alamos, his great love was in landscaping his North Mesa home on Pueblo Canyon, especially building rock retaining walls using exclusively materials he dug from the yard. He was also a competitive table tennis player and a classical pianist. He injoyed so much his wonderful neighbors, the Altherrs and the Quirks.
He is survived by wife Alice, two sons, a daughter, eight grandchildren and a brother.
