Margie Lehman passed away on July 3 due to natural causes. She was 94 years old. She met the love of her life, Hugh Lehman, through his mother, a Sunday school teacher at Ardmore Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania. Hugh and Margie married when he came home from World War II. After 20 years in the Air Force, they settled in Los Alamos, New Mexico. They raised three wonderful children, Barbara (retired High School Vice-Principal), David (NASA engineer), and Rick (airline pilot). Margie and Hugh travelled all over the world (Egypt, New Zealand, Europe, and South America), raised horses in their backyard, summered at their cabin in Colorado and wintered in Hawaii.
Margie loved singing in church choirs and was always involved in her church. After Hugh's retirement from the Air Force, they worshiped at the White Rock Presbyterian Church in Los Alamos for 30 years. Margie also loved to volunteer at the local Los Alamos Historical Society Museum. In 2000, they moved to Hawaii to be near their daughter Barbara. After Hugh passed away in 2009, Margie moved to Pasadena, CA to be near her son David. While in Pasadena, she attended Trinity Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her three children and her two Grandchildren, Rebecca and Ryan, and one Great Grandson, Aiden. Margie was a loving person who will be missed by all of her family and friends. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, she has asked that friends and well-wishers make contributions to their favorite charity. The family is planning a celebration of Margie's life at a later date.
