Randall W. Cordle

AMANDA: Randall W. Cordle, 55, of Amanda, passed away at his residence Saturday, November 20, 2010. He was born May 22, 1955 in Fairfield County and was the son of Clarence and Arleta (Ogg) Cordle.

Randy is survived by two daughters, Katie and Alysa Cordle of Lancaster; four brothers, Terry (Nancy) Cordle of Stoutsville, Dale (Donna) Cordle of Lancaster, Brian (Judy Kane) Cordle of Rockbridge and Rob Smith of Lancaster; mother, Arleta Cordle of Lancaster; brother-in-law, Gene Dillie of Laurelville; sister-in-law, Dot Cordle of Amanda and numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends, Fred and Debbie Achenbach of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Gary and Rick Cordle and a sister, Kitt Dillie.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Pastor Dave Gray officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Heaven has become a richer place. I can almost see the angels sitting around smiling as you play and sing the sweet bluegrass lullaby's we have always cherished. Uncle Randy you are an incredible inspiration to all who have known you and you will be greatly missed; but I thank god you are no longer in pain and have great company.

randy was a friend of both my parents. i remeber him when i was little when we would come to see my dad (tim daubenmire). he was always funny and made me and my cousins laugh. i cant believe you are gone but i am so glad you are not more suffering anymore your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I haven't seen Randy for a few years now BUT he was my dad's best friend (Sully) and I have dearly missed him!! He was a wonderful man, always put a smile on your face if you wanted it or not :) Randy was an amazing person, sweet friend and an all around great guy!! Love Ya Randy....Always in our hearts!!!!

I remember Randy through my uncle Bill Young and my cousins too. I remember him visiting at my Uncle's Minute Man Antique Resortation shop. He was nice and sincere man. My thoughts go out to the family. he will be sadly missed.
