LANCASTER: Sunrise, November 3, 1950, Sunset, January 19, 2013.

Dwight Dean Cox Jr., of Lancaster passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, January 19, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Dwight served in the United States Air Force honorably. Dwight is a veteran of the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield. After his career in the Air Force, Dwight worked in Law Enforcement which included time as a Police Officer for Del City (Oklahoma) Police Department, Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office (First Responder to the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building Bombing), and Richland (Missouri) Police Department. Dwight was also Director of Security at Tinker Air Force Base (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) following the September 11th terrorist attacks. Keeping Dwight's memory alive is his loving wife Ruby of the home. Dwight also has one son Anthony "Tony" Cox of Lancaster. Also celebrating the memory of Dwight is three siblings; Sherry (Charles) Bell of Junction City, Dennis (Mary) Cox of Newark and Sandra Moyer of Bremen. Dwight was preceded in death by his parents Dwight D. Cox Sr. and Geneva Cox and a brother David Cox.
