Earl Siders

PLEASANTVILLE: Earl Siders, 87, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born July 22, 1925 in Gallia County to the late Roy and Leva Siders. Earl was a member of Mills Memorial UM Church, he served as a lay pastor of various UM churches for 20 years, and retired from Rockwell International (Boeing). Earl served and retired from the Pleasantville Fire Dept. He was a WW II Army Air Corp Veteran. Earl was an avid camper, fisherman, and sports fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved to be with people and spending time with many friends & family.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen, children Aimee (Chad Canter), Brent (Danielle Siders ), and Garry (Nicole Siders); 4 grandchildren: Seth Canter , Emilee Siders, Dru & Jackson Siders; Aunt Irene Hager as well as a large extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister and brother.

A memorial service for will be held at 2 pm, on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Mills Memorial UM Church, 402 N Broad Street, Lancaster, Ohio with Pastors Tim Burden and Rita Brown officiating. A private burial will be performed at a later date.

The Halteman-Fett -Dyer Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
