Lester Frasure

Lester R. Frasure, Sr.

LANCASTER: Lester R. "Pump Handle" Frasure, Sr. 82 of Lancaster, Ohio formerly of Baltimore, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Pickering House.

He was a Korean conflict veteran serving in the US Air Force. He was a retired fork lift operator for Crown Zellerbach with 43 years of service. Lester was a member of the Baltimore United Methodist Church and Bible Baptist Church, Baltimore Senior Citizens, lifetime member of the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 and Millersport American Legion Post.

Lester is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Steve) Bader of Carroll, Ohio and Ruth West of Lancaster, Ohio; son, Lester R. (Jo Ann) Frasure, Jr. of Homestead, Florida; six grandchildren, Jeff (Julia) Bader, Holly Bader, Andrea West, John (Patty) West, Lester Ray Frasure, III and Andrea Christie Frasure; seven great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Clyde Bowersock of Lancaster, Ohio; sister-in-law, Lovetta Larabee of Ohio; special friend, Herman Foxworth of Florida; uncle, Noel Lehman of Baltimore, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith F. Frasure in 2010, parents, Gilbert and Clara Frasure, grandson, Jay West, Jr., 2 sisters, Florence McDole and Lucille Bowersock, 2 sisters-in-law, Leona Rhymer and Esther Eiselstein and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruth and Charles Eiselstein.

Funeral service will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Pastor Roy Maple and Rev. Branson Hawkes officiating. Burial to follow in West Rushville Cemetery with the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
